It allows international students to stay and re-enter Australia at any time until the visa expires. It also allows the visa holder to work up to 40 hours per fortnight. The eligible family members can company their stay in Australia.

You must:
- be at least 6 years of age
- have been accepted to study at an educational institution in Australia
- have health insurance
- have appropriate English skills
- meet the health requirement
- meet financial capacity requirement
Student Guardian Visa
Student Guardian Visa (subclass 590) allows you to stay in Australia as the guardian of an international student younger than 18 years of age studying in Australia on a student visa. It’s normal a parent or who has the custody of the student. This visa allows you to stay the same length as your student or when they turn 18 years of age.
Eligibility
You must:
- be the student's parent, legal guardian or relatives
- be at least 21 years of age
- be able to provide accommodation and other support
- have financial capacity to support yourself and the student during your stay
