Temporary Short Skilled Visa (TSS)
This subclass 482 visa is also referred as TSS visa, and it is temporary visa which allows skilled workers to work in Australia for one to four years depends on your nominated occupation, visa stream and other circumstances for your approved sponsor. TSS visa involves a 3-step in process.
STEP 1: a sponsorship application by the employer
STEP 2: a nomination application for a skilled position by the employer
STEP 3: a visa application by the proposed employee
Eligibility
You must:
- have been nominated for a position by an approved sponsor and that nomination has been approved.
- meet any required skills and qualifications requirements including completing any skills assessments required
- if in Australia, hold a substantive visa, a subclass 010 (Bridging A) visa, a subclass 020 (Bridging B) visa or a Subclass 030 (Bridging C) visa
- have substantially complied with any conditions that apply or applied to your last visa
- meet the English language requirement
- meet health and character requirements
Employer Nomination Visa
This subclass 186 is a permanent visa allows skilled works to work and live in Australia permanently under one of the three streams: Temporary Residence Transition stream, Direct Entry stream and Labour Agreement stream.
There are 2 stages involved in the process as the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa.
Stage 1: employer make a nomination application
Stage 2: employee make the visa application
Eligibility
You must:
- have been nominated by an Australian employer and this nomination has been approved within the six months before you apply
- are under the age of 45 at the time of application
- at the time of application, have the required skills and qualifications for the position you have been nominated for - including holding (or being eligible for) any mandatory registration, licence or professional membership
- at the time of lodgment have appropriate English language skills
- meet the English language requirement
- meet health and character requirements
Regional Sponsored Skilled Visa
This a subclass 187 visa is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers who want to work in regional Australia under one of two streams: Temporary Residence Transition stream and Direct Entry stream.

Eligibility
You must:
- have been nominated by an Australian employer in regional Australia and this nomination has been approved within the six months before you apply
- are under the age of 45, unless exempt
- at the time of application, have the required skills and qualifications for the position you have been nominated for - including holding (or being eligible for) any mandatory registration, licence or professional membership
- meet English requirement, unless exempt
- meet health and character requirements
- meet other requirements of the stream in which you apply
